Project W5w – International Women’s Day, helping women set-up their online presence

Project W5w – International Women’s Day

Getting online is a crucial part of most businesses. We’ve found that some of the women have problem setting up their online presence, quickly. If you want a little more than what Tumblr, wordpress.com and blogger are offering. Be it a personal website with portfolio or a website that you need for your startup and you don’t want to spend much.

Starting this International Women’s Day, we’re going to help 5 women every month get online*.

* We are not charging for the installation and setting up of the website. But you’ll need to buy a hosting which supports PHP, MySQL and a domain name. You’re free to get any hosting you’d like, no restrictions on that. We can guide you, if you have any doubts to go about the process.

What we’ll be doing?

We’ll do that installation for you. That includes:

  1. Setting up the site from scratch, add 5 pages of content given by you and the menus.
  2. Adding a readily available free template and setting it up.
  3. Testing the responsiveness on mobile devices and functionality.
  4. Security measures required to protect against most common brute-force and DDOS techniques.
  5. Setting up and configuring the best available Search Engine Optimization plugins and a couple of necessary plugin according to your site vertical.
  6. Guiding you on how to use the site. (Built on a self-hosted WordPress CMS, if you’ve used WordPress before it’s pretty much the same. )

What do we need from your side?

A PHP and MySQL supported web host, a domain name and access to the Control panel. You’ll need to give us the full content for the websites as well.

What sort of sites are covered?

  1. Personal websites with portfolios. (Freelance designer, writer or author etc.)
  2. A portfolio website for your startup. (Must be under 2 years old)
  3. Basic eCommerce website with plugins available under WordPress repository.
  4. Basic Magazine (Yes, We ‘re a magazine and we want to help you start a magazine too. We’ll use our knowledge of setting things up. We’re awesome like that. )
  5. Blog (Blogs are nice. A blog with your domain is cool. Ask us why you might want to shift your blog to a self hosted WordPress and we’ll be happy to explain, we’re nice like that.)
  6. A news summary web app that works like newsinshorts. (Our friends at APPOETS, will help you set up the web app, if you want the mobile app, the installation for that is chargeable.) (P.s: Limited to one per month)
