Task Science is about managing the data in our brains as productively as possible. So that we can focus on goals instead of focusing on remembering what is to be done.

Task science is the brainchild of a perfectionist, Tim Henrich. The entrepreneur is also a software engineer with hands on skills as a Python developer near Baltimore, MD. After scaffolding several miniatures software companies, Tim developed the perfection syndrome for tasks, ideas, and emails with clients and developers.

“I had severe burnout from trying to keep everything organized in my head to the point where my mind started to simply drop things,” exclaimed Tim.

Task science was Tim’s simple prototype at its initial stage. The epitome is inculcated with hashtags to keep a track of things. Since hashtags are pliant by virtue, Tim implemented it to create a workflow around his own style. Later, he integrated support for collaborators, which allowed the clients to see the same tasks, add attachments, and communicate outside of email.

“This let me separate long email threads into contextual conversations inside a specific task — a huge timesaver.”

The major challenges faced were balancing time and gaining traction. Time is our most valuable asset and scheduling that time appropriately between a start-up, family, and client projects is not a cakewalk.

Administrating tasks and collaborating on them with the involved is gruelling. Task Science is self-configurable and lets you to organize things the way you want it to be. It also features communication between clients and colleagues.

The task management space is sundried. The interfaces like Trello, Asana, BaseCamp, etc. are the big players out there. The best part is, the market still has a scope with many options around. It gives people a much greater chance of finding something that works for them.

Task Science was designed with scalability in mind. Right now, the focus is on user acquisition and helping current users adopt the platform.

It’s a freemium model! The leading users are small team that need to collaborate and organize more effectively.
