Technical Architecture
GearDex is an inventory and workflow app for camera equipment for photographers, videographers, and studios. Each item can hold brand, model, serial number, mount, photos, purchase price, current value, condition, location, and notes. Record Readiness shows missing photos, serials, or receipts. Smart Add and CSV import get existing lists in quickly; every plan exports ZIP, JSON, or CSV. Iris AI answers kit questions and checks lens mount compatibility. Version 3.5 adds free Kit Snapshots and Record Readiness, plus Unified Timeline and Iris Prep Review on Pro and Studio, and an Availability Board on Studio. GearDex runs in the browser and as a native Mac app (macOS 13+). There is no iOS app. Starter is free for up to 25 items; Pro $39/yr; Studio $179/yr.
