Technical Architecture
Image Evidence is built around a simple rule: never present a score as proof. The free checker shows metadata and C2PA provenance findings one by one; the optional Pro detector score from Sightengine is labelled as a single signal that can be wrong on edited, compressed or brand-new generator images. The product deliberately does not offer face recognition, searching for people, watermark removal or ways to evade detection. Its own on-device model stays switched off until it passes a published evaluation. It is an independent service with no generator or platform affiliation.
