Former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (83) died on Monday at a hospital in Meghalaya, after he collapsed while giving a lecture, at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong. Doctors say he suffered from a cardiac arrest.
He was immediately hospitalized at 6:30 pm, and he passed away at 7:30 pm.
Dr Kalam was born in Rameswaram on October 15, 1931.
Dr APJ Kalam, was the 11th President of India between 2002 and 2007.
Kalam had tweeted earlier, about his trip to Shillong.
